Maintenance & Environmental
The Maintenance Department at CCRC prides itself in taking care of the building both inside and out. With a wide array of experiences and backgrounds, including construction, electrical, plumbing and having two HVAC certified staff members on hand helps us maintain most issues and repairs without seeking outside assistance. We are constantly updating and renovating our building to make it a “home away from home” and persistently working toward that non-institutional look and feel.
Our grounds staff has backgrounds in commercial landscaping, both interior and exterior, a certified turf grass manager and a Master Gardener. This helps keep up our multiple courtyards, the fruit orchard, rose garden, vegetable garden, butterfly garden and the twenty-two acres we are located on beautiful. Curb appeal is very important to us and we want everyone to enjoy the outside of CCRC as well as the inside.
Our staff is involved in day to day resident living. We, as a department with residents, participate in monthly men’s breakfasts, in outside activities such as MTSU ballgames, Murfreesboro Christmas parade, Toys for Tots, and have placed in the top 5 of a local Bar-B-Q cook-off. Some of our major community events we do include the Independence Day firework display, seasonal decorations including a huge outdoor Christmas light display.
Our staff is here Monday through Friday between 7AM-4:30 PM and is on call 24/7 to take care of any emergencies that come up.
Our “environmental services” staff prides itself in providing quality housekeeping, laundry and floorcare services. As vital members of our infection control team, we participate in the creation of a home away from home for our residents, family members, volunteers and staff. We participate with our residents in the living of their lives. This might be as simple as cleaning a room, going to a family function or doctor’s appointment, driving the bus or car for transportation, or going to MTSU ballgames as resident companions. Eight members of our team are cross-trained as certified nursing assistants to better meet our resident’s needs.
Our housekeeping and floorcare staff provide the cleaning services for our residents. We take pride in our work, our residents, their families and friends, and enjoy providing the safe environment that is necessary for living life to the fullest.
Our laundry team works constantly to ensure that the laundry services meet our resident’s needs. We take pride in the fact that our staff labels, inventories and returns resident clothing with a short turn around. We also label personal glasses and dentures to ensure that they can be easily identified and returned when found.
